The 2024 NHL draft will take place at The Sphere in Las Vegas on June 28 and 29. Hundreds of prospects will be selected over the course of the seven-round event, and the first 16 picks have been determined by way of the NHL draft lottery.

After finishing the 2023-24 season with the worst record, the San Jose Sharks had the best chance to win the draft lottery — and did so. The Chicago Blackhawks — who won the draft lottery and selected Connor Bedard No. 1 last year — have pick No. 2.

Here is a list of the first 16 picks, which will be updated after the full draft order is known following the end of the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs.
