Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – The Juneau Police Department responded to a single-vehicle accident on Thursday morning at about 6:30 a.m.
A 17-year-old female struck a light post with her 2002 Subaru in the Auke Bay roundabout, causing the light pole to hang over the roadway which disrupted the flow of traffic for about an hour.
She had no injuries, according to JPD’s Public Safety Manager Erann Kalwara.
The Department of Transportation responded to take care of the light pole.
The driver’s vehicle had to be towed because it was on the base of the pole.
The roadway opened back up at about 7:30 a.m.
