A nationwide technology outage is causing major disruptions across the United States, impacting 911 and non-emergency call centers. Alaska State Troopers report that emergency call systems throughout the state are experiencing significant problems. In Anchorage, the police department confirms that 911 is still operational for now. However, if 911 is not working in your area, use the alternative number for Southeast Alaska: (907) 474-2568.

The Juneau Police Department confirm that our 911 numbers if functioning correctly.

Additionally, a major internet outage affecting Microsoft is disrupting flights, banks, media outlets, and companies around the world. The outage, which is affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services, has continued for hours despite the technology company’s efforts to fix the issue.

Airlines and airports in the United States, Europe, Australia, India, and elsewhere are reporting problems, with some flights grounded. Retail outlets, banks, railway companies, and hospitals in several parts of the world have also been affected.

The global outage is shedding light on the vulnerability of critical infrastructure to technological failures, leaving millions without essential services. Authorities are urging the public to remain patient as efforts to resolve the issues continue.
