Sitka, Alaska (KINY) – On Tuesday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Sitka Post, contacted 37-year-old Vincent Peters of Sitka and 46-year-old Natachan Sopow of Sitka returning from deer hunting.
Investigation revealed both men had taken deer and failed to validate harvest tickets before leaving the kill site. Bail is set at $170 in the district court at Sitka for each offense.
Also on Tuesday, the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Sitka Post responded to a report of deer carcasses dumped near Sawmill Creek. Investigation revealed three deer had been dumped with meat required to be salvaged remaining on the bone.
