Skagway, Alaska (KINY) – The Juneau Ranger District would like to remind cabin users the Denver Caboose in Skagway is closed for the winter.

Reservations for the Denver Caboose cabin are suspended each winter between Oct. 1 and April 30.

The White Pass and Yukon Route Railway shut down excursion travel in the winter.

The railway is private property and walking on the tracks is strictly prohibited.

Additionally, repair work is required for the oil stove pipe before it can be safely operated.

This work is scheduled to occur before re-opening.  Visit http://www.recreation.gov to learn more about making a reservation in-season.
