Eaglecrest Board announces new GM

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The Eaglecrest Board of Directors has announced the selection of Craig Cimmons as the next general manager of Eaglecrest Ski Area. Cimmons will be formally appointed at a special board meeting on Thursday, Aug. 15, at 5:30 p.m.

“We are excited to welcome Craig to the position of general manager,” said Mike Satre, Eaglecrest Board President. “We had two well-qualified finalists, and the board believes Craig will be a great addition to the ski area. We look forward to the contributions he will bring to Eaglecrest and the community.”

Cimmons is currently the director of the Ski & Ride School and Community Engagement at Jay Peak Resort in Jay, Vermont, a position he has held since 2012. His prior experience includes various roles in ski and snowboarding education, as well as environmental education and adventure recreation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Adventure Recreation from Green Mountain College.

Cimmons is expected to begin work by early October to ensure a smooth transition into his first winter season at Eaglecrest.
