Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – Early bird registration for Parks & Recreation’s Youth Basketball League (ages 6 to 14) and Peewee Basketball (age 5) opens Monday, Nov. 20, at noon. Register online under the “Youth & Teen” tab.
Early registration for Youth Basketball costs $55 + tax and runs November 20 – December 3. Late registration costs $65 + tax and runs from December 4 until full.
Registration for Peewee Basketball costs $40 + tax and runs from November 20 until full.
Registration is first come, first served and space is limited. Once a division is full, kids will automatically be placed on the waitlist. In the case of low registration numbers, divisions may be combined. Youth Basketball League is about skill development, fun, and sportsmanship for newcomers and returning players. The season runs from January 8 – March 9. Kids will practice once a week for one hour. Games will take place on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Kids must turn 6 years old by January 13, 2024 in order to play.
Peewee Basketball is for boys and girls age 5. The season runs January 13 – February 17. Kids will practice skills for one hour once a week for six weeks total. Kids must turn 5 by January 13, 2024 in order to play.
