Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) – On Friday, March 22, an Anchorage grand jury indicted 23-year-old Javon Hill for one count of Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Manslaughter for the murder of Franklin Stevens-McConkey. The charges stem from a homicide that occurred on March 17, 2024, in the area of East Tudor Road and Dale Street in Anchorage.
Hill is currently in the custody of the Department of Corrections and is being held on a $25,000 cash performance bond and a $25,000 cash appearance bond. If convicted at trial, Hill faces a sentence of up to 99 years imprisonment.
These charges are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
