JPD investigating random BB/Airsoft shootings

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Police Department is investigating two reports of people being shot at with BB, pellet, or airsoft guns this past week.

On 09/27/2023, JPD received a report that occupants of a white SUV were shooting a pellet gun or airsoft gun at bystanders on South Franklin Street. At least two women were struck by the objects. There were no reported injuries.

On 09/30/2023, a male reported that occupants of a dark grey pickup shot a BB gun at him while he was on a walk on Riverside Drive, near Taku Blvd. The object that was shot grazed the man’s jacket, but there were no reported injuries.
