Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – To address safety concerns stemming from a sharp increase in vandalism and drug paraphernalia litter on park grounds, Jackie Renninger Park (Pipeline Skate Park) will be open for reduced hours until further notice.
Starting immediately, the park will be open from 3:30 – 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. on weekends.
All gates and facilities will be closed outside these hours of operation. Park staff and JPD will also be conducting extra patrols in the park.
The city hopes to return to normal hours as soon as sanitation and safety for park users are improved.
