Perseverance Trail will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, weather permitting, as helicopter crews transport construction materials for the Gold Creek bridge along the Perseverance Trail corridor.
During the closure, Coastal Helicopters will transport materials via helicopter from the Last Chance Basin parking lot at the end of Basin Road to the bridge construction site on Gold Creek, 2.5 miles up Perseverance Trail from the trailhead parking lot.
The trail will reopen in the afternoon. However, it remains closed from the Granite Creek intersection to the Upper Red Mill junction until the new bridge installation is complete. Please follow signed detours and avoid the construction site for your safety and that of others.
