Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – Get your feet wet with a family-friendly beach exploration at the Jensen-Olson Arboretum on Saturday, May 11 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
This free event, organized by Friends of the Jensen-Olson Arboretum in partnership with Parks & Recreation, will take place during low tide, offering the perfect chance to see the beach habitat in action.
Participants will rotate between science stations for hands-on opportunities to learn about marine life living between high & low tides, and many more hands-on learning and observational opportunities.
This program is geared toward children ages 6-12 and their families. Please keep in mind that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Admission is free but registration is required; space is limited to 20 children. Registration opens online through the Parks & Rec registration catalog (click the “Youth & Teen” tab) on Friday, May 3 at noon.
