Juneau, Alaska – The Rotary Clubs of Juneau are set to complete the construction of a new covered pavilion at the Fish Creek Recreation Area in North Douglas this weekend. This project, in partnership with the City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) Parks & Recreation Department, has been underway since Friday and is expected to provide a new, scenic shelter for community use.
Situated on a raised meadow adjacent to the parking lot and overlooking the pond, the pavilion will serve as a versatile space for picnics, gatherings, and educational events. Rotary volunteers have been working diligently to erect the pavilion and enhance the surrounding area with light brush removal and landscaping.

Safety During Construction
During the final stages of construction, park visitors are asked to be mindful of the work crews and to allow them space to complete their tasks safely. The area around the construction site may have limited access, and visitors should stay aware of their surroundings to ensure everyone’s safety.
