Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – The U.S. Small Business Administration has approved several federal low-interest disaster loans for Juneau residents following the August Mendenhall River glacial outburst flood. As of Oct. 20, seven loans totaling $406,100 have been approved and a number of additional applications are underway.
SBA’s in-person Disaster Loan Outreach Center will be open at Dimond Park Aquatic Center (3045 Dimond Park Loop) through Oct. 24.
The center is open the following hours:
Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The center will close on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m.
The deadline to complete applications for physical losses is Dec. 5, 2023. Those who are unable to apply in person with SBA staff at the center can apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at disasterloanassistance.sba.gov.
