Sitka crime bulletin for November 10th through November 13th

Sitka, Alaska (KINY) – The Sitka Police Department has released a bulletin crime report for the weekend of November 10th – 13th.

November 10th:

A caller reported his girlfriend had cut him with a knife, SPD responded and arrested Erica Wilkinson (DOB:8/27/93) for assault. Alcohol was a factor.

On 11/10/2023 at 2300 hours, an employee that was working at a nearby business observed a male force entry into a daycare. The employee stated the male was still inside at the time of the call. Officers arrived and located the male inside the daycare where he was arrested for Burglary and Theft. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

November 12th:

A juvenile was contacted driving a vehicle that appeared to have been involved in an accident. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor to the accident. A loaded firearm was observed inside the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

On 11/12/2023, a male contacted the Sitka Police Department about a disturbance between himself and another male. Officers determined no crime had been committed between the two parties. While officers were trying to find an alternative location for the male to stay for the night, the male stated he was going to assault the officers. The male was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct. Alcohol was a factor.
