Sitka, Alaska (KINY) – The Sitka Police Department has released a bulletin of reports between December 15th and December 18th.
December 15th
At 9:30 AM, Sitka Police responded to a traffic accident at the intersection of Halibut Point Road and Tovio Circle. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
At 1:50 PM, Sitka Police received a report of a missing person.
December 16th
Sitka PD responded to an abandoned vehicle and trailer at 2000 Cascade Creek Road.
At 2:21 PM, a caller reported his daughter being assaulted. SPD responded and arrested Jesse Jeske (DOB:5/17/80) for assault 4.
Around 3:40 PM, SPD responded to a hit and run. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor.
December 17th
Sitka Police responded to four abandoned vehicle reports between 12:56 AM and 1:10 AM
At 9:15 PM, a caller reported a fire hydrant in the middle of the roadway on Lincoln Street. Officers responded and located the hydrant which was struck by a vehicle. The case is still ongoing.
