Sitka, Alaska (KINY) – On May 9, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Sitka Police received a report of a deceased male on the trail beside the Hames Center on John Brady Drive.
Officers arrived on scene and located the male, 53-year-old Clinton E Smith, on the ground.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation revealed the likely cause of death to be a medical related and his remains will be sent to the State Medical Examiners Officer.
No foul play is suspected at this time and next of kin has been notified.
