Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – The Juneau Arts and Humanities Council’s Day of Gratitude is on Nov. 16, 2023.
The Day of Gratitude is an occasion for the community to come together and celebrate the profound impact that local artists have made on the cultural landscape of Southeast Alaska.
Over the years, the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council has made it their mission to administer scholarships and grants to artists, partner with local organizations and artists to create arts education infrastructure for Juneau’s youth and provide resources and opportunities to the local creative community.
The JAHC said none of this would be possible without the support of donors, partners, local artists, volunteers, and community members.
The JAHC’s 50th season began on Oct. 1, 2023, and has brought visual arts, music, arts, education, and community engagement in Juneau.
Throughout the upcoming year, Juneau can expect to experience programs like the Juneau Piano Series concerts, Clink Wine Tasting, Juneau’s Annual Food Festival & Farmers Market, and the biennial Wearable Art Extravaganza,
scheduled for September 21-22, 2024.
