Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) – On Friday, May 3, an Anchorage grand jury indicted 28-year-old Tierza Hayes for two counts of Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Manslaughter for the murder of Steven Robert Reeves.
The charges stem from a homicide that occurred on April 27, in the area of Lois Drive and Spenard Road in Anchorage.
Hayes is in the custody of the Department of Corrections and is being held on a $250,000 cash performance bond and a $250,000 cash appearance bond. If convicted at trial, Hayes faces a sentence of up to 99 years imprisonment.
These charges are only allegations and are not evidence of guilt. The defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
