Winter storm warning extended through Monday

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) – The winter storm warning for Juneau, originally set to expire at 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning is now extended until 9:00 p.m. Monday.

Juneau and Gustavus could see anywhere from 16-29 inches. Specifically looking at Juneau, 22-29 inches is expected. 8-10 inches has already been recorded as of Saturday afternoon.

12-16 inches is expected for Hoonah and Tenakee Springs. The heaviest and densest snow is still expected to be seen starting Sunday as temperatures warm up.
