A boil water advisory has been issued for certain areas in Texarkana, Texas. This is due to reduced water pressure and a temporary loss of water caused by repairs to a water main on Columbine Lane.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality mandated the advisory, requiring residents to boil their water before using it. The issue began when a contractor hit a water line at 4023 Columbine Lane. The advisory affects residents between Richmond Road and Honeysuckle Lane, including Poinsettia Drive between Robin Lane and Columbine Lane.
The advisory will remain in place until the problem is fixed and tests confirm the water is safe to drink. Residents will be notified when the advisory is lifted.
