Texarkana’s Downtown Live event is set for Friday, July 12, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This summer celebration will feature local shops, clubs, and restaurants along Broad Street, with performances by local artists and musicians.
Downtown Live, created in 2020 by artist Joseph Raymond and Main Street Director Ina McDowell, aims to promote Texarkana’s heritage and culture. Businesses will stay open late, offering special deals, while artists and musicians showcase their talents. Among the performers are Colton Barker, Gunpowder Creek, Special Reserve, Jay Kirgis, Bryan Gafford, Ted & Allen, The Heavy Letdowns, and the Texarkana Winds.
The event will also include a performance of “The Stinky Cheese Man” by Silver Moon Children’s Theater at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., and an open house tour of a new Airbnb at 214 West 3rd Street.
