Court dates scheduled for defendants allegedly involved in shooting that injured an A&M-Texarkana Baseball Player

Butler is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery.

Kamauri Butler, 17, and Demarco Banks, 20, have court dates reset for the new year. The pair are believed to be the gunmen in an alleged gunfire exchange that resulted in a Texas A&M University-Texarkana baseball player being struck by a stray bullet.
Butler has a Jan. 11 court date and Banks has a Feb. 12 court date, according to Bowie County court records. Butler is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery, and remains in Bi-State Detention Center on a $250,000 bail. Banks is charged with deadly conduct/discharge of a firearm, and He remains in the Bi-State jail on a $100,000 bail.
Two other men arrested in the investigation also have court dates scheduled for early 2024.
