The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train is back for its 26th year, spreading holiday cheer and raising funds to fight food insecurity. Covered in dazzling lights, the train will tour Canada and the U.S. from November 21 through December 20.
At each stop, professional musicians perform holiday classics, and donations are made to local food banks. Attendees are encouraged to bring monetary or heart-healthy food donations. Since 1999, the train has raised over $24.3 million and collected 5.3 million pounds of food.
In the Arklatex, the train stops in Mena, Arkansas, on December 2 at 10:45 a.m., Texarkana, Texas, at 4:45 p.m., at the 4th Street Crossing. and Shreveport at 7:45 p.m. Performers include American Authors and KT Tunstall.
