No injuries or deaths were reported but the National Weather service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado with winds over 90 mph uprooted trees and created a nearly two-mile path of damage north of New Boston Friday night. Another storm yesterday morning knocked out power for thousands of customers in Bowie County, but SWEPCO crews had electric service largely restored by early afternoon.
