Gospel Music to Take Center Stage at Downtown Live on Sept. 13

Main Street Texarkana is hosting its monthly “Downtown Live” event on Sept. 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring a special night of gospel music. Several local choirs and gospel groups will perform throughout the evening at various downtown venues.

Musicians Jody and Lani Crump will make their debut performance during the event. Jody, a former member of Pocket Full of Rocks, and Lani, who has worked behind the scenes in the music industry, expressed their excitement to be part of the celebration.

Local artists, including Sarah Grace, Hadlei Givens, and Colton Barker, will showcase live art during the event. Darlene Taylor, a muralist and frequent participant, shared her enthusiasm, saying, “It’s my favorite thing every month.”
