Governor Abbott Announces $1.4 Million in Veteran Assistance Grants for East Texas

On Tuesday, Governor Greg Abbott announced more than $1.4 million in grants to support veterans in East Texas. The funds will benefit over 690 veterans and their families across 38 counties, providing services such as financial aid, transportation, legal assistance, and home modifications.

“Texas will always stand with our veterans,” said Governor Abbott. “These grants will help ensure our heroes and their families receive the support they deserve.”

Grant recipients include organizations such as Cass County Veterans Service Office, Habitat for Humanity, and The Salvation Army. Veterans can find assistance programs in their area at tvc.texas.gov/fund.
