Harvest Regional Food Bank has launched its Summer Feeding Program for children aged one to eighteen.
This initiative emphasizes that “hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation,” ensuring that children have access to nutritious food during the summer months when school meals are unavailable.
In Arkansas, one in five children experience food insecurity, meaning they lack reliable access to safe and nutritious food.
Harvest Regional Food Bank is sponsoring the program, providing lunches from May 30 through August 11.
The following locations are offering summer meals:
– In Bowie County: Mt. Sinai House of Prayer and First Baptist Redwater
– In Miller County: Life House Church
– In Columbia County: Emerson Community Outreach
– In Lafayette County: Bradley UMC
