A man who had stolen over $1,000 worth of items from Home Depot in multiple visits has been identified and arrested. In August, police asked for help identifying the suspect, and a Magnolia, AR officer recognized him from a similar case. The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Matthew Brink of Hot Springs, AR.

Detective Jennifer Billingsley confirmed Brink was also the suspect in the Home Depot thefts and issued warrants for his arrest. Brink made a critical mistake by returning to the store last Tuesday evening, where the manager recognized him and called 911. Officer Cole Bredenberg arrested Brink in the parking lot.

During the arrest, officers found THC wax and oxycodone pills hidden in his pants. Brink is now in the Bi-State Jail, facing charges of possession of controlled substances and theft. His bond is set at $23,500.
