More than 30 shots fired, Juvenile Injured in New Boston

Police concluded about 35 shots were fired.

Officers were dispatched about 10:30 p.m. Friday to the 900 block of East Lion, south of U.S. Highway 82.

When officers arrived in the area, they located a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. After a preliminary investigation, police concluded about 35 shots were fired.

The juvenile, whose gender and age have not been disclosed by police, was taken to a Texarkana hospital before being transferred to a children’s hospital in Dallas. Police said the juvenile is in good condition.
