A mother has been arrested after her toddler was brought to a Texarkana hospital with a gunshot wound, police say.
Texarkana, Arkansas, police issued a warrant for Ariel Morton, charging her with endangering the welfare of a minor and theft by receiving a firearm. She is now in the Miller County Detention Center.
Morton’s boyfriend, Breydan Ybarra, was arrested earlier in the week after he brought the injured toddler to Wadley Hospital. Authorities believe a sibling accidentally fired the gun.
