New Boston man threatens to kill police chief

A man who allegedly threatened to kill New Boston’s police chief faces multiple felony charges.

A man who allegedly threatened to kill New Boston’s police chief faces multiple felony charges.  44-year-old Jose Luis Martinez brought a long knife to the police station on December 21st and told a dispatcher he was there for the chief’s head, then jumped in his pickup and drove away.  County and state officers helped New Boston police take Martinez into custody. He is being held on bonds totaling $150,000.  If convicted of aggravated assault, Martinez faces up to 20 years in prison.
