This is from the New Boston Texas Police department in regards to an incident over the weekend.
On July 6, 2024, around 5:42 PM, New Boston Police responded to a shooting in the 300 block of N. Lindsey St. Officers found two victims: one shot in the lower chest and back, the other in the right shoulder and upper chest. One victim died at the scene, the other is in critical condition at a local hospital.
The investigation continues. One suspect is detained, while Malaki Beckham, described as a 5’9″, 140 lbs, Black male with brown hair and eyes, remains at large. Beckham fled in the deceased victim’s vehicle, which was later found on Peggy St.
