Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Graphic Packaging have established a new academic partnership. This agreement allows over 800 local Graphic Packaging employees to enroll in courses at the university at a discounted rate, effective immediately.

“We are proud to announce that Graphic Packaging is our newest academic partner,” said Dr. Ross Alexander, President of A&M-Texarkana. “Their employees create materials and packaging solutions for some of the world’s most well-known brands. We are excited to support their academic endeavors.”

Steve Smith, VP & Resident Manager of GPI Texarkana, stated, “GPI Texarkana looks forward to this partnership, which will help develop both current and future employees for our Paperboard Manufacturing Facility. This is a crucial element in our sustainability plan.”

Under this new partnership, Graphic Packaging employees will receive discounts on all undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and micro-credential programs offered in-person, online, or in a hybrid format. The agreement also waives the standard application fee. Additionally, new eligible students will receive the First Flight Scholarship, providing their first class for free if enrolled in at least six credit hours at either the undergraduate or graduate level.

Employees must meet the university’s admission standards and maintain good academic standing to benefit from this partnership. For more information, visit www.tamut.edu/partnerships.
