An investigation into a September overdose death has resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old William R. May.

Authorities uncovered a drug operation at a house on Laurel Street in Texarkana, Arkansas, finding 60.1 grams of methamphetamine and 138 grams of marijuana during a search. May, identified as the resident, was not home, prompting Arkansas officials to issue warrants for his arrest.

The investigation revealed May had moved to Colorado Street in Texarkana, Texas. Law enforcement arrested him during a traffic stop on November 5, where he was found with a small amount of drugs. A subsequent search of his home uncovered 83 pounds of marijuana, a pound of meth, half a pound of cocaine, various pills, THC vape cartridges, psilocybin candy, and several firearms.

May remains in the Miller County Jail on multiple drug charges. Authorities say the case is ongoing, with additional charges expected. Officials praised the teamwork between agencies in Arkansas and Texas for the successful operation.
