Yesterday afternoon law enforcement officers from the Texarkana Arkansas Police department responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Oats and 19th Street. An external Law Enforcement Agency had tried to execute a federal felony arrest warrant on a particular individual. Unfortunately, during the apprehension process, there was an incident that involved an officer-involved shooting . Thankfully, none of the officers were injured. The suspect was injured with non life threatening injuries. Arkansas State Police promptly arrived at the location to assume control of the investigation. It’s important to note that the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department officers present were not involved in the shooting incident.
