Pleasant Grove ISD Names Chad Caldwell as New Police Chief

Pleasant Grove Independent School District has appointed Chad Caldwell as its new Police Chief.

Pleasant Grove Independent School District has appointed Chad Caldwell as its new Police Chief. Caldwell brings over 25 years of law enforcement experience, including roles with the Texarkana Texas Police Department, Rowlett Police Department, and Methodist Health System.

His credentials include certifications as a Master Police Officer, Mental Health Officer, and TCOLE-certified instructor. He’s also an Advanced School Resource Officer, ALERT Instructor, and Public Information Officer.

“Chad Caldwell’s extensive experience and dedication to student safety make him the ideal choice to lead our police department,” said Superintendent Chad Pirtle.

Caldwell holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Applied Criminology and has led community outreach efforts like Citizen Police Academies and National Night Out events. He will officially assume his new role on December 2, 2024.
