Captain Juan Gomez highlighted the campaign’s roots, dating back to 1891, when a Salvation Army Captain in San Francisco first used a crab pot to collect donations. Last year, the campaign raised $93,000, and this year’s goal is $100,000 to meet growing needs.

Volunteers are needed to ring bells at kettle sites. To volunteer, visit RegisterToRing.com or call 870-774-2701. Donations are also accepted at southernusa.salvationarmy.org/texarkana
