A 17-year-old named Samual Cline was arrested by Maud Independent School District police on Oct. 24 for allegedly threatening a school shooting, according to court records.
Police began investigating after a student reported that Cline had warned others not to attend school because he was planning a shooting. Although Cline denied making the threat, he reportedly did advise students to stay away.
Cline was charged with terroristic threatening and is held in Bowie County jail on $50,000 bail. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison. The case is assigned to Fifth District Judge Bill Miller.
