A Tennessee man, Cornell Brown, has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2021 murder of Texarkana resident Keith McFadden. Brown, 33, was found guilty of capital murder after a jury trial this week.
Investigators determined that Brown traveled from Memphis, Tenn., to Texarkana specifically to kill McFadden, who was fatally shot multiple times on Sept. 20, 2021. Texarkana police, working with several agencies and the Miller County Prosecutor’s Office, secured an arrest warrant for Brown.
In a statement, the Texarkana Police Department commended their detectives for bringing Brown to justice, expressing hope that the conviction brings some closure to McFadden’s family and friends.
