In response to Monday’s storms, the City of Texarkana and the Believe in Beverly Neighborhood Association are collecting donations at the Beverly Community Center, 901 Lumpkin St.
Hurricane Beryl hit the Beverly community on Monday evening, causing significant damage to homes and businesses. As debris removal and damage assessment continue, urgent donations of water, non-perishable food, and toiletries are needed for affected families.
The Beverly Community Center is offering lunch for impacted residents Monday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A cooling station is also available from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm for those without power.
Residents with storm-related damages are encouraged to complete the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s individual State of Texas Assistance Tool (iSTAT) at https://damage.tdem.texas.gov/.
To volunteer or donate supplies, visit the community center from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
