Texarkana, Arkansas is a step closer to naming a new Chief of Police. The Police-Fire Civil Service Commission will meet Thursday at 2 p.m. at City Hall to review finalists chosen by City Manager Tyler Richards. Interim Chief Ed Chattaway has filled the role since May, after former Chief Michael Kramm stepped down. Since the meeting covers personnel matters, it’ll go into a closed session, with results expected to be shared with city leaders and candidates before a public announcement.
