On Monday, August 12, 2024 at approximately 8:20 PM , TAPD officers from the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of E. 24th St. Officers arrived on the scene and located the victim, who was suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, the victim had succumbed to his injuries after officers and TAFD personnel attempted to render life-saving measures.
Detectives from the Crime Scene Investigation Division and Crime Scene arrived to investigate the incident. At this time, no suspects have been identified. This tragic incident is an on-going investigation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family members of the deceased victim and to the community members surrounding this unfortunate incident.
