Texarkana College (TC) has announced its new FAA-certified Aviation Maintenance Technician training program, set to start in January 2025. The program aims to equip students with the skills needed to meet the growing demand for aircraft maintenance technicians.
According to TC President Dr. Jason Smith, demand for aviation maintenance jobs is soaring, with starting salaries reaching up to $80,000 in some areas. TC’s program, located at the Texarkana Regional Airport, combines hands-on training in a real-world hangar setting with flexible, remote learning options. Students can complete the program in one year, and new cohorts will begin each semester. Financial aid, including Pell Grants and loans, may be available for qualified students.
