For plumbing inside the home, check insulation on pipes in the attic and under the house. He also said to check the water shutoff valves to ensure it is operational.
Waldroup also recommended checking and replacing furnace filters and cleaning wall and ceiling vents.
“These are the easiest steps to prepare your home for the upcoming winter cold,” Waldroup said. “Additionally, these same items will keep your house cool in the summer.”
