On August 14th, a search warrant was executed at a home in the 800 block of Jerome Street by the Special Investigations Unit, along with investigators from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Homeland Security.
Kenneth Collins, 40, was arrested at the scene after authorities discovered cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, ecstasy, and THC-infused products in the living room where he was sitting. Six firearms were also found in the living room and bedroom, three of which were reported stolen. Additionally, evidence in the kitchen suggested Collins was manufacturing and packaging crack cocaine for sale.
Collins was taken to the Bi-State Jail and charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of Manufacturing/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Delivery of Marijuana, and Theft of a Firearm. He was released on August 20th after posting a $182,500 bond.
