A Texarkana man, Courtney Tyrone Murphy Jr., 21, faces a felony criminal mischief charge for allegedly damaging two bank ATMs with super glue-covered cards.
According to police, Murphy used a masked and gloved disguise while damaging a Farmer’s Bank ATM on St. Michael’s Drive on July 23 and a Capital One ATM on Richmond Road on July 17. Video surveillance footage helped investigators link Murphy to the incidents through a car registered to an address on Wood Street.
Murphy was arrested on July 25 and released the next day on a $15,000 bond. If convicted, he could face two to ten years in prison. The case is being handled by Fifth District Judge Bill Miller. No attorney was listed for Murphy as of Tuesday.
