A Texarkana, TX man was killed after being struck by an unknown vehicle early Friday morning at the 28-mile marker westbound on Interstate 30 near Hope. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Cameron W. Evans, 33, of Texarkana was apparently laying on the south shoulder of the roadway.
The incident occurred at 12:53 am and Evans was pronounced dead at 1:22 am by Hempstead County Coroner David Peters. The investigating officer was Trooper Landon Loe.
