Three men have been charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and other related crimes in Texarkana, following a recently unsealed 19-count federal indictment.
Jarmaine Lajuane Hunt, Lee Henry Houff, and Marcus Washington are accused of conspiring to distribute meth since July 2019. The indictment, originally filed on May 15, details multiple counts against the men.
Hunt faces charges in counts 2-10 and 14-15 for possession and distribution of meth. Houff is charged in counts 11 and 18, and Washington in counts 16 and 17, with both Houff and Washington named in count 17.
The final count accuses Hunt of carrying a 9 mm Smith & Wesson pistol to further drug trafficking in 2021.
If convicted, the men could face sentences ranging from five years to life, depending on the quantity of drugs involved. Hunt, if convicted of the firearms charge, could receive an additional five years to life in prison, served consecutively.
All three men are currently in federal custody. The cases are being handled by U.S. District Judge Robert Schroeder III and U.S. Magistrate Judge James Boone Baxter in the Texarkana Division of the Eastern District of Texas.
