The Texarkana Museum and Welcome Center has received a $10,000 grant from the TLL Temple Foundation for renovations. According to Emily Tarr, Director of the Texarkana Museum System, the funds will enhance the welcome center at the Regional History Museum, part of downtown’s Arts and Historic District.
The upgrades will include new carpeting and seating to create a more comfortable space for visitors to relax and learn about Texarkana. Tarr emphasized that the renovations will not affect the museum’s mission to educate the public about the area’s history but will better serve both travelers and locals seeking information.
